VLTC Recognizes Belia Saenz for 5 Years of Service
Valley Land Title Co. recognized Belia Saenz for 5 years of dedicated service on Tuesday, November 22 at the VLTC Thanksgiving Feast. Valley Land Title Co. Bids Farewell to Mr. Mrs. Smith
In 1919 Ernest M. Smith established Valley Abstract Co., now known as Valley Land Title Co., one of the oldest and respected companies in Hidalgo County. Mr. Smith came to the Rio Grande Valley after serving in the infantry during World War I. He built the plant by actually copying records from the courthouse. On January 1, 1964, his son Blucher Smith took over the management of Valley Abstract... Co. Mr. Blucher Smith owned and managed the plant together with his wife, Rose Mary Smith, until 1977. The first office was located at the 100th block of South 12th and later moved to the Northwest Corner of Closner and McIntyre. Valley Land Title Co. has changed ownership and names through the years but Mr. Smith remained at Valley Land Title Co. as in-house counsel. On Friday, November 4, 2011 VLTC said Good-Bye to Mr. & Mrs. Smith with a luncheon in their honor. They are moving to San Antonio to be close to family. The management and staff will miss their presence but will forever be in our hearts!

The Greater McAllen Association of Realtors recognized Valley Land Title Co. as it's Affiliate of the Year 2011 at their Annual Installation Banquet held on November 19, 2011. Valley Land Title Co. is extremely honored to receive the Affiliate of the Year award and is happy to be a part of such an invaluable organization. The Greater McAllen Association of Realtors is one of the most active organizations in the Rio Grande Valley. With a membership that boasts over 700 realtor and affiliate members, the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors continues to focus their efforts in providing the membership with the tools needed to grow their business. Valley Land Title Co. Donates Printers & Copiers To RGV Habitat for Humanity
Valley Land Title Co. made a generous donation of printers and copiers to the RGV Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The Habitat ReStore Warehouse sells reusable and surplus building materials, furniture, appliances and many other items to the public. The proceeds fund Habitat's house construction. The ReStore Warehouse is located at 412 Ash in McAllen (just north of the railroad tracks along Bus. 83 between 2nd and 6th street) If you have anything you don't want or need, they'll take it! They accept all types of donations except shoes and clothing. They also do free pick ups for larger furniture pieces you may not be able to bring over. Pictured are Paul R. VLTC Hosts Annual Customer Appreciation Evevt
On Thursday, April 24 Valley Land Title Co. treated over 380 customers & friends to a delicious Mexican Buffet complete with great music, lots of drink and wonderful company. This annual event is hosted by the management and staff of Valley Land Title Co. to show its appreciation of their customer's and patrons without whose loyal support they could not continue the legacy of being leaders in the title insurance industry. The 5th Annual Customer Appreciation Event was held at Allysa's Acres in Mission during a beautiful cool evening. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED, WE APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS! VLTC Hosts an Appreciation Luncheon For Legal Assistants
Valley Land Title Co. hosted a luncheon on Friday, March 11 at Pepper's Uptown for the Upper Valley Legal Assistants in appreciation for their business. McAllen, Edinburg and Mission branches were on had to greet our guests. Thank you to all who attended!

Valley Land Title Co. was the featured affiliate at the Women's Council of Realtors general membership luncheon on March 10th. We were extremely delighted with the great turn out. FAREWELL IMOGENE!
After 38 years of dedicated service Imogene Filkin bid farewell to Valley Land Title Co. Staff celebrated her retirement with a luncheon on Friday, January 21, 2011, where Mr. Rodriguez presented her with a token of appreciation. Although Imo will be sorely missed we wish her the best as she enjoys her well deserved retirement and as she starts a new chapter in her life. Imogene is eager to catch up on her travels; visiting long time friends, spending time in the Hill Country, catching up with the old and discovering the new and just simply “relaxing”! Wishing her love, laughter and blessings.
